Mentor Michigan

Mentor Michigan, a division of the Michigan Community Service Commission, is leading the way for mentorship in the state. There are three basic beliefs that it is being built upon:

• Mentor Michigan believes every child has the right to a stable, caring adult in his or her life.
  
• Mentor Michigan believes everyone is responsible for the well being of our children including individuals, businesses, nonprofit and faith-based organizations, education institutions, and government.
  
• Mentor Michigan believes that volunteering is a significant way for people to enrich their lives by giving of themselves to children in their community.

Mentor Michigan is a great resource for mentoring programs, businesses that want to get involved with mentorship, and individuals looking to become a mentor.

The Metro Detroit Mentor Collaboration is a partner with Mentor Michigan to help them reach their Detroit Area goals! The collaboration is assisting Mentor Michigan with mentor recruitment, expanding business and community relationships, and offering trainings for mentoring agencies. Two MDMC Partner Programs, the ART of Leadership Foundation and Winning Futures - Mentoring Solutions, serve on the Mentor Michigan Providers Council.

Get involved with Mentor Michigan today...register your mentoring program! In order to best serve mentoring programs in the state, Mentor Michigan needs to hear from ALL organizations. The first step is to go to Mentor Michigan's website and register your program. After that, the program will be listed in the Mentor Michigan Mentoring Directory where potential mentors can learn about your organization. Mentor Michigan will also alert you to upcoming trainings and resources available.
